LifeLines: Memoir Workshop

If you are in San Francisco Bay Area or Sonoma County, this weekly workshop is an opportunity to  write with guidance, support, and valuable feedback on your work. The workshop engages and supports new and experienced writers in writing stories from life for personal pleasure or for publication. You’ll learn how to find the story in situations and learn how to give shape to short memoirs as you generate 4 or 5 new writings and receive helpful feedback from the instructor and your writing community.

I teach aspects of memoir craft, including enlivening narrative with dialog, creating dimensional characters, and creating an essential sense of era. I provide occasional short readings by reputable memoirists and offer optional at-home writing exercises, inspiring and assisting writers in setting and achieving their goals.

When: Monday, 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Sebastopol Center for the Arts, FIRESIDE ROOM
